You will never be required to stress about the dependability of anything. These microphones have batteries that have a life span of ten hours each. Each Microphone has its controls for the volume. There is also a mix output on this Microphone, which allows you to connect it to a single channel of a mixer and control the mic mix from that channel. Because there are separate outputs, if you want each mic to have a unique sound mix, you can connect Mic A to one mixer channel and Mic B to another. You can do this because there are separate outputs.
