The USB XLR Podcast Studio Condenser Microphone Recording Mic Shock Mount Kit is an all-purpose microphone. This microphone improves podcasting, YouTube, music, and gaming recordings. The kit includes a condenser microphone, shock mount, pop filter, microphone stand, XLR to 3.5mm cable, foam windscreen, user manual, and USB adapter for laptops and desktops.
The microphone is equipped with phantom power, usually supplied by mixing consoles, recording hardware, and live equipment if using an XLR to XLR cable or an external phantom power supply (not included). The included XLR to 0.14" cable can be used on desktop and laptop computers if they are equipped with enough voltage at the 3.5mm jack. (Voltage on computers at the 0.14" jack is usually 5 volts, and is enough to power this condenser microphone).
This microphone is designed with a cardioid polar pattern that reduces the pickup of sounds from the sides and rear, improving the isolation of your desired sound source. The condenser microphone captures your voice correctly, producing a clear, smooth sound with no static noise. This mic provides extended frequency response from 20 Hz to 20 kHz and 360 degrees of superior transient response, improving the quality of your recordings by isolating the sounds from the primary source and separating them from any background noise.
The anti-vibration shock mount included in the kit isolates the microphone from nearby vibrations and unwanted noise through an adjustable microphone stand. Using the three-layer pop filter and windscreen together can reduce the plosives, pops, crackles, wind interference, and breath sounds while recording to get the best vocals possible.
